Overview:

The energy transition is now happening at pace with hydrogen and CCUS being critical vectors within the overall trajectory to achieve net zero.  As liquids and gases, flow measurement will be key in enabling an economy featuring these vectors, as flow meters with be widely used throughout the energy system - whether that is for process control or custody transfer.

Traceable flow measurement will be critical for the custody transfers in particular, as flow meters will be the cash registers underpinning every financial and fiscal transaction.  This webinar, hosted by OGTC and TÜV SÜD, will aim to highlight the importance of accurate and appropriate flow measurement, provide insight on the relevant technical considerations and seek input from attendees on key issues they identify.

Following the webinar, we will run two focused workshops on hydrogen and CCUS to examine flow measurement related issues for each of these at a deeper level.

Agenda:

  • Welcome and introduction
  • Who is NEL, the NMS and why does flow measurement matter?
  • Who is OGTC and what is OGTC doing in this area?
  • Technical presentation on H2
  • Technical presentation on CO2
  • Menti meter polls and Q&A
  • Wrap up
